Drone technology has advanced rapidly in recent years, and although these unmanned vehicles can carry out many positive tasks in society, they also are able to take on aggressive military reconnaissance and attack roles. (Gazan terrorists’ use of incendiary balloons has shown that even the simplest devices can cause considerable damage.) To combat the drone threat, Israel — while developing its own advanced drone technology — has created several anti-drone solutions. One even uses lasers to destroy enemy drones or take them under Israeli control.

The system achieved 100 percent success in all test scenarios,’ defense technology company Rafael said in a statement about its Drone Dome C-UAS, or Counter-Unmanned Aerial System, the Times of Israel reported.”
