Israel has no shortage of problems: threats from the outside, divisions internally, high cost of living, the Palestinian issue, and so forth. Despite all that, research regularly shows that Israelis are among the happiest people in the world. In fact, in the most recent United Nations World Happiness Report, Israel took the number nine slot. Don’t miss Israelis expressing their happiness by dancing to Pharrell Williams’ song “Happy” (click on the second link below).
Quote: “Israel ranked ninth in the 2022 World Happiness Report issued by the United Nations on March 18, moving up from 12th place last year to its highest-ever position. The Happiness Ranking is based on a three-year-average from 2019-2021.
The other countries in the top 10 are Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Switzerland, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Sweden, Norway, and (in 10th place) New Zealand.”
