For Holocaust Remembrance Day 2018, Koolulam invited 600 Holocaust survivors, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren to sing together in a special project of Beit Avi Chai together with “Zikaron BaShalom.” They sang the meaningful and stirring song “Chai!” (“I’m still alive, the people of Israel are still alive!”).
Quote: “Koolulam is a social-musical initiative aimed at strengthening the fabric of society. The project centers around musical performances created by convening large groups of individuals to form a uniquely collaborative musical creation. Koolulam brings together people from all walks of life to do one thing: stop everything for a few hours and just sing — together. At Koolulam, the audience is the artist!”
